Thanks Linda,
Thomas and Jane Arthur were William Isaac's parents. I knew they were
there - in fact, Thomas has two different "head stones", the old one where
he was buried in 1881, and then a listing on the stone where Jane was buried
in 1920 - they are only about 20 or 30 feet away if I recall correctly. And
I seem to recall a distant cousin saying that in 1920 Thomas was actually
moved over to the other plot - whether or not that's true I don't know. But
his old stone is still there - one of those old-style obelisks about 6 or 7
feet tall.
I do wonder now if perhaps William & Jennie were buried somewhere in
Indianapolis. Several of there children lived there, and Jennie lived there
in 1918.
Thanks,
Jill Arthur Barry

Hi, this is not my family, but found the following:
New Palestine Cemetery, Elizabeth Cone Addition
Thomas Arthur B: 16 Mar 1828 D: 18 Jan 1881
Jane Arthur B: 10 Nov 1833 D: 13 July 1920
did not find anything on William Isaac Arthur or his wife Jennie D. (Long)
Arthur.
I did look in Shelby County also, and they are not listed. Hope this
helps.

Correction to my original message:
Jennie LONG ARTHUR, wife of William Isaac ARTHUR was still alive in
September of
1918 (son Delbert Fay ARTHUR's WWI draft registration lists her
as next of kin living in Indianapolis).
I suspect she died in the early 1920's and is buried somewhere in
Hancock
county with her husband William. Possibly even in New Palestine,
though I've searched that cemetery I could easily have missed something.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jill Arthur Barry
