When I was back in Greensville summer before last, I photocopied two pages
out of a book called "Hancock County Court Records, Probate Order Book A,
1843 - 1850." Is this book an index? If so, how do I find out more
information about the entry of interest to me? Also, another book, "Hancock
County Court Records, Probate Order Book, 1828-1843."
They are:
On p.32 of Probate Order Book A, 1843 - 1850;
"Page 42. Francis Craft in making final settlement of the estate of Thomas
Craft dec. mentions the widow Sarah Craft and Amos and William Craft. Also
a note of Joseph Craft and a trip to Pennsylvania in settling the estate."
On page ? of Probate Order Book, 1828-1843;
Frances Craft appointed as executrix? of the will of Thomas Craft dec. Aug.
10, 1842.
I desperately need to find the will and or probate records of Thomas Craft.
I need to find out the location that Francis went to in PA, and who Thomas'
parents were. There are two biographies out there, but I believe that both
contain wrong information.
Can anyone offer advice?
Thanks,
Jennifer in Oregon
