Subject: [INHANCOC] Re: Kuhn, Koons, Koones, Kunes or many Variations
(Hancock) Illinois/Pennsylvani
Regarding your Kuhn or variations of that name..My grandpa who may or
may
not have married my grandma Agnes Johns or StJohn was born (I think) in
1872 or
around 1889 as was my grandma. I never met either grandparent. My
mom
was
born in 1925 in Ava, Illinois and her sister was born in 1923 in
Effingham,
Illinois. Both these girls (sisters) look identical..almost like
twins;
both
sisters' birth certificates lists fathers with different names.
One
being
Johns and one being Baby Girl Koons. My Koons or Koones was German,
very
much
so...Story told was that my grandma was disowned by her
'ENGLISH' parents
after her first husband died Jacques Bernerd StJohn before 1914 and she
met
Howard Koons or H. C. Koons who's occupations was in the Oil
industry...perhaps
Oil Procurement or something. I know after 1925 perhaps 1931 he was
killed in
a Mining accident (supposedly) but my mom said he ran off with the
housekeeper...I believe a amn named Browney or Barney came to the house
to tell my
grandma bad news about him or his passing and she took it hard. She
was
bed
ridden for 3 years and passed away in 1941 in Billings, Montana. I
believe she
was once living in Denver, Colorado and/or Colorado Springs..not
sure. I
know the story was told that she was from England and came to U.S. via
Canada.
I believe that my mom's half brother born 1914 John B Johns or
StJohn was
perhaps born in New York or England but Social Security application in
1937
lists his birth as New York. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

you..please e-mail _Andrade1225(a)aol.com_ (mailto:Andrade1225@aol.com)
