David Seaman was son of Thomas and Catharine (McCoy) Seaman who are buried
in the Clarksburg, KY cemetery. (Census records, KY 1860, Jackson County,
(W) VA, 1850)
David and Parthenia Staggs Seaman's children were LAURA SEAMAN, CORA
SEAMAN, THOMAS A. SEAMAN, JOSEPH J. SEAMAN, FRANKLIN "ABE" SEAMAN, WILLIAM
C. SEAMAN, AND GEORGE A. SEAMAN, all born Lewis County, KY between ca 1863
and 1878.
DAVID SEAMAN was a member of POLAR STAR MASONIC LODGE No 363 in Vanceburg,
KY. His name first appeared in records of this lodge in 1875 (The First
Hundred Years by William Carter Dugan of Vanceburg, KY, published 1958.)
CORA (SEAMAN) EAKES appeared on the 1900 census of Center Township, Hancock
County. She had been married to James W. Eakes for 9 years. The Eakes
children appearing on this census are daughter GRACE, female age 8. EVA
son, male (?) age 7 and BERYL daughter, female age 2.
David Seaman, age 67 was born in Penn, widowed, was living in this
household.
