WILL OF ANDREW JARRETT (Recorded at Hancock Co. Indiana, Will Book 1. pp.404-405,

"I Andrew Jarrett of Hancock County and State of Indiana Considering the
uncertainty of Life and the Certainty of death do make and publish this
my last will and testament.
1st I direct that my body be Interred in a manner corresponding with my
situation in life.
2nd I direct that my funeral expense and all just debts be paid as soon
after my death as their is money enough in the hands of my Administrator.
3rd I direct that all my property be Sold at public sale after My wife
shall have property to the amount of Five Hundred dollars Set off to her
The Money Thus obtained is to be equally divided between my children here
after mentioned So Soon as the money is collected.
4th I will and bequeath to my beloved Wife, Phebe Jane Jarrett, the one
third of my real Estate So long as she remain my widow the other two thirds
be equally divided between my children to wit.
Marian Jane Eaks wife of Andrew Eaks, James M,. Jarrett, David C. Jarrett,
Mary M. Jarrett, Benjamin H. Jarrett, Hannah C. Jarrett, Hiram C. Jarrett.
I also direct that at any time after my death that my Executor, Wife and
Children may deem proper and that they can obtain a price that they think
Justifiable that they sell all my Real Estate and Divide the money as here
above mentioned. I also direct that at the death of my wife that all of
the Real Estate and personal property owned by her be equally divided between
my children here above written. I also Will and bequeath Louisa Francis
Madaris or her name by Adoption is Louisa Francis Jones The Sum of Ten
Dollars to be paid as soon after my death as she may call on my Executors
for the Same. I also revoke all former wills made by me. I hereby appoint
My beloved Wife Phebe J. Jarrett and James M. Jarrett Executors of this
my last will in witness thereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal This
the 4th day of December AD 1870.
