out. Family register starts with grandparents: Walter John
BIDWELL, born November 26, 1891, died Oct. 1975; Arah SMITH
BIDWELL, born June 29, 1890, died July 3, 1985; LaRue C.
SNODGRASS, born December 29, 1875, died Jan 23, 1954; Myrtle
SHORT SNODGRASS, born October 24, 1880, died Sept 19, 1970.
Parents: Kenneth Julian BIDWELL, born August 2, 1922, and Agnes
LaRUE, born April 7th 1910.
The Military section covers Kenneth BIDWELL, who served from
May 26, 1943 to December 13, 1945. Branch of the Service was
Special Service and Military Police. Foreign service was
Honolulu, Hawaii, December 9, 1943; New Guinea 1944; Philippine
Islands 1944-45; Okinawa 1945. Remarks read "Honorable Discharge
I was just a lucky guy, because of Mother's Prayers."
Also included are all the wonderful pieces of memorabilia
from this family: Certificate of Marriage for LaRue SNODGRASS
and Myrtle SHORT on the 26th day of September 1897; Local record
of birth for Wilbur SNODGRASS, child of LaRue and Myrtle,
June 1, 1899; Forest Lawn Memorial Park announcement of death
for LaRue SNODGRASS, January 23, 1954; newspaper clippings of
Myrtle SNODGRASS death; newspaper clipping of Kenneth BIDWELL's
Honeymoon following August wedding 1952; two sheets of paper
where someone was listing the family starting with Thompson
SHORT, born July 13, 1850, died November 14, 1895, also Mary
SHORT, Levi SHORT, Mary BOLES, Alvin BOLES, Grandpa BEUFAUIER
from Kentucky 1797; also clipping from their home town; personal
letters; two parts of a newspapers from New Palestine, Indiana,
September 25, 1975 and one from November 3, 1898 (this one looks
like it may be a reprint as it is rather white) -- both papers
do have death announcements.
