Henry Ballinger was the father of Emory (Emery) Ballinger who was born in Indiana in 1861. Henry (b. 1817 in North Carolina) was found living in Brown Township in the 1880 Census. Need to know more about this man and where he went from there. Emory was my Great-Grandfather who died in 1949 when I was 7 but I don't remember ever meeting him. Emory was married 4 times and used both the i and the e in his surname.

Dear List Members,
I am going to be involved in list housekeeping on this list during the
next 24 hours....I would appreciate help from you. I need activity on
the list to obtain bouncing e-mail address.... You do not need to do
anything to stay subscribed. If I have a problem with your e-mail
address I will contact you personally.
Please change the subject line and take this opportunity to post your
missing Hancock County Ancestors and at the same time help me by causing
non-working subscribed addresses to bounce.
If you get unsubscribed my mistake during this housekeeping, just
e-mail me at KathleenBurnett(a)earthlink.net and let me know what address
was mistakenly unusbscribed.
I appreciate each of you and help.

Many of my ancestors are buried in the Harlan Creek Cemetery and their
religion was Disciples of Christ or Christian Church. I am not sure if the church
was of that denomination or not. I attended one or more funerals there as a
child, but can't recall any details of the service. Sincerely Dolores H.
Swindell, descendent of Kuhn family.
Since many of my ancestors are buried in the Harlan Creek Cenatary, the
religion they all were associated with was the Diciples of Christ, or Christian
Church. I'm not sure but it is a possibility. I can remember attending one
funeral there as a child, but don't rember much else. Sincerely Dolores H.
Swindell, of Kuhn family descent.
Hi everyone,
I have two questions:
1) Does anyone know what religion was associated with the church next to
Harlan Creek Cemetery?
2) Where can I get some in-depth history on Warrington and the immediately
surrounding area?
Thanks,
Jan Rader

Virgene,
This data is not located in Indiana Marriages database. She did not marry in 1844, she may have been born in 1844, but this lists marriages from April 1905 to December 1920.

As always I was rambling the internet and found the following site. With
ties in Indiana
thought I would pass this to those that might care to read a very lovely peom
written bout our state. Brings a tear or two to read. There is a link on
left side or the page that goes to other Indiana State Emblems. This is part
and paracial of our heritage, our being this is what research is all about. I
share this with others in love of my home state.
