So many of those surnames look familiar from HARDY/RANDOLPH co's VA & FAYETTE CO.
OH, and surrounding counties.
My John CARR was the son of Martin Luther Carr & Elizabeth DAVIS( daughter of the
infamous JOHN DAVIS of the CLAYPOOL REBELLION, around 1780's.)
My CARR came to KOSCIUSKO CO. around 1830 with his father, Martin CARR and his younger
siblings. Over the years
my JOHN DAVIS CARR made his way west, living in a couple of
counties on the way. I know he was in ONE OF THE WARS, and
came to live & die in Tippecanoe, TIPPECANOE IN. We know
his wifes name was Mary, but not her maiden name, or
location of the marriage.
Would love info if this YOUR John also.
I come from Johns older brother, Reuben C. CARR b.1800
HARDY CO VA, married 1830 in FAYETTE CO. OH to Mary E.
CREAMER. Around 1850 Reuben joined his older brother,
Jacob in Crooked Creek Township, JASPER CO. IL.
Jacob moved on to ?. I believe he had lost 3 wives since
living in OH, IN and IL.
Reuben & Mary Creamer CARR died in Rose HIll area, Jasper
Counties IL and are buried in ATEN CEMETARY, Hidalgo, IL.
We have Solomon CARR married to a Bean, and living in
DELAWARE COUNTY OH early 1800'S. we also had family in
PICKAWARY CO. OH
