I'm related to Margaret J Denny wife of John S Page. Family history claims that George
Denny was a Scotsman. Sometime around 1854 he made a trip to Sanborn, Indiana for the
purpose of buying some land. He bought a plot of ground for a farm in Sanborn and returned
to Pittsburgh for his wife and family. Upon return to Pittsburgh he died within one or two
days from food poisoning - eating beef (apparently botulina) The widowed Eleanor Johnson
moved from Pittsburgh to Sanborn with eight children. Margaret was six weeks old when she
went to Indiana. Margaret married John Stancil Page and they had the following children:
Leota , Lemon, Algie, Nellie, Minnie, Verna, Irene, Dollie, Johnny. Margaret died in 1932
in Pontiac Michigan and was burried with her husband, who died in 1919 of dropsy, in
Linton,Indiana. Family members claim that George was definately a Scotsman not Irish.
I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who has information regarding George's
history.
