Lynn. Not related, just trying to help. First let me say that her name is spelled either
Almira or Elmira thru the years. Cannot help with her burial but I found a record in the
Social Security Death Index for Almira Blanker, born 6 Feb 1892 and died in Bloomfield,
Greene county, Indiana, in Nov 1982. How sure are you of her being the daughter of
Stephen? Info that I found indicates she was probably the daughter of William R Hash and
Elizabeth C Goben who married in Greene county on 17 Aug 1881, source is book L, page 201.
In the 1900 census for Greene county, Richland township, Dist 32, page 9B, the family was
headed by William Hash, 39, born Feb 1861, married 18 years, a farmer, he and all other
members of the family were listed as being born in Ind as were both parents. The family
included his wife Elizabeth C,, 38, Mar 1862, married 18 years, mother of 8 all still
ilving, - his daughter Mary E, 17, Nov 1882, - his daughter Diemahala, 16, Sep 1883, - his
son David,!
13, Sep 1886, - his daughter Caroline, 10, Mar 1890, - his daughter Sarah E, 9, Jan
1892, - his daughter Elmira, 7, Feb 1893, (All of these children are listed as being at
school) - his son James, 6, May 1894, and his son Stephen, 4, May 1895. Elmira and
Willard probably married in Greene county sometime in 1909, unfortunately those records
are not online so I can't access them. In the 1910 census the family was in Grene
county, Richland township, Dist 38, page 10B, and was headed by Willard W Blaker, 30,
married twice, this time for less than a year, a laborer working out, born in Ind, father
in Ohio, and mother in Ind, and included his wife Almira, 18, married one time for less
than a year, Ind, Ind, Ind, - his daughter Luverna, 18 (don't think this is right but
that is what is recorded), Ind, Ind, Ind, and his daughter Clara E, not sure but it
appears to be 10/12, Ind, Ind, Ind. In the 1920 census the family was in the same
township, Dist 50, page 3A, and was headed !
by Willard Blaker, 19, a laborer in a brick plant, born in Ind, father
in Pa, and mother in Ind. All other were born in Ind as were their parents and included
his wife Almira, 27, - his daughter Luverna, 17, a servant to a private family, - his
daughter Clara E, 11, - his daughter Gertrude F, 9, - his daughter Bertha M, 7, and his
son Charles W, 9. In 1930 census the family was in the same township, Dist 14, page 9B,
and was again headed by Willard Blaker, 50, first married at 21, a laborer in a brick
plant, and included his wife Elmira, 38, first married at 17, - his daughter Bertha, 17, -
his son Charles, 14, - his daughter Gwen, 9, and his son Paul, 6. All listed as being
born in Ind as were their parents. Hope this helps. Don
