To Steve Stalcup and anyone else who may have an interest:
Steve,
About 1 year and 15 days ago I told you I would have information
available concerning the descendants of Samuel Simons in a few months,
or weeks, if I was lucky. Well I finally got the information on the
WWW last night.
You can access the pages from Greene INGenWeb or HoosierWeb. The
links for both locations are listed below.
Samuel had a large family and those children did their part in
populating the World. Take a look when you have the time.
The pages are not done by any means. I still have a number of
pictures to add and text to also add. Samuel was one of Greene
Counties Commissioners, served on the county seminary board, a hunter,
and a tavern keeper in Lawrence County, Indiana.
I've made some real boo-boos in my family research since I first
started in 1961. If anyone observes what appears to be an error or
has additional information, please let me know.
I believe my next project will be the Waggoner Family, The Decendants
of Noah Waggoner and Rachel Simons Waggoner. It will be repeating
some of the information contained in the Samuel Simons pages. Both
born in Lawrence County, Indiana. Moved to Greene County. Noah died
in Texas; Rachel died in Missouri. Pioneers such as they were deserve
their own page.
