This is a message I sent to the ONeall site yesterday at roots web.
Apparently members at this site have been getting these kinds of messages
for more than a month or so. I am a new subscriber at this site so obviously
I am not the culprit. I believe I already did a disclaimer at the INGreene
site but I will do it again just to make it official.
If anyone receives a unwelcome message with my tag line sparky(a)elpasonet.net
or the name James Gordon Neill, do not delete it.!!!
Forward it to Adminstrator(a)elpasonet.net which is my Internet Service
Provider and they will investigate the e-mail. In regards to the message
below which I posted yesterday on the ONeall site, click on the ZD net site
and read what they have to say. When you get there go to SPAM COP. It is the
first program they talk about. Spam Cop will tell you how you can discover
who is sending you e-mails. For microsoft users you right click on the
e-mail and a window will come up that will give you the headers which is the
source of the mail. Also, in the same Spam Cop info window go up to the
button that reads Statistics. Good info here about where most of it
orginates (AOL).

I hope everyone got this. Click on the link. When you get there go to SPAM
COP. Go
to the section that says "How do I get my e-mail program to reveal
the full headers". This is the instructions that will reveal where your
e-mails are coming from. For those of you who do not have a Spam Buster
installed-this may be the solution. SPAM COP

Subject: Disclaimers for smut
Several list members have written privately to say they have had smut
email
sent out under their names and are disgusted, etc.
I would like to suggest to anyone who has had this happen to make a public
disclaimer on lists where you are most active.
Your disclaimer will be archived.
As "your" smut messages may be.
Cover yourself with the disclaimer.
Paranoid? Oh lord, I hope not, but things do happen when "big brother" is
watching. And what if your boss gets a copy of "your" smutty message?
Or,
heaven forbid, your kids or parents?
(And please, please, please, don't forward this message to make it a
spammer.
I would hate to be the author of a spammer. {8-{
