Hi,
I'm looking for info on LARR's of Greene County.
My GG grandfather, David Hunter LARR, may have lived in Greene County for a
time (ca 1840's-1850's) before ending up in Clay County.
I have found the following info from the 1850 Census for Greene County for
"David" Larr. I believe the first David is my GG grandfather.
David (H or W) Larr, age 33, b PA with Clarisa, 57, PA; Elizabeth, 26,PA;
Barbara M, 24,PA; John W, 17, OH; George, 15, Oh; Alfred L, 7, OH; Lucy J,
5, OH; and Ruai (?) A, 4, OH.
David Larr, 50, PA; Nancy, 49, VA; Jacob, 21,OH; Elizabeth, 22, OH; Emily,
18,OH; Jared, 16, OH; David K, 14, OH; Thomas J, 12, OH; Barbary E, 9, OH;
George N, 4, IN; Henry C 3/12, IN; Jacob Miller, 80, PA.
I also found the following marriage at
Ancestry.com: "HERRING, Mary J.
married LARR, Jacob M. on 23 Oct 1850 in Greene County, Indiana"
I don't know if these two families are connected, but I notice that they
both follow a similar pattern of movement from PA to OH to IN.
Does anyone recognize any of these people, or have any further information
on Greene County LARRs?
Thanks very much
Jerry Smith
