Hi Friends,
My family is planning a reunion for July of this year. Many of my ancestors
lived in Greene and Sullivan Counties from the 1820s. My grandfather and his
parents moved to Washington State in 1905, but many of their relatives (and
their descendants) lived in Greene and Sullivan Counties, and some live there
now! I would like to collect copies of photos and stories of my ancestors
and their relatives, to share at the reunion.
ARE YOU RELATED TO ANY OF THESE PEOPLE ?:
Alexander BEASLEY (1810 - 1891)
Isaac Beasley (1846 - 1917) (Has a brother, Alexander, who once owned land
that is now the city park of Linton.) (Isaac's children married: Theodore LAR
R, George SWABY, Mina J. CRABTREE, Willis SHEETS, William POPE, John R. TAYLOR
, Elmer SHEETS, Cora Fern ADAMS, and Lillie M. FIELDS.)
James PIGG (1793 - 1840)
Sanders Pigg (1815 - 1885)
Morgan Pigg (1837 - 1917) (Died at the railroad crossing north of Linton at
Hwy 59 and Bolten Road.) (His children married William STOCKRAHM, and
William BLEDSOE.)
George CLAYTON (1795 - 1852)
Linus Clayton (1816 - 1888) (Second wife was Alice WOLFORD. Her family
might have photos!)
William HATFIELD (1795 - 18?) (His children married Elizabeth QUILLEN,
Louisa BRADFORD, and Robert TEBBUTTS.) (One granddaughter married into the BO
UGH family.)
Martin GAMBILL (1788 - 18?) (His children married Eleanor MCGREW, Rebecca DE
WESE, Elizabeth NEELEY, Nancy HUMPHREYS, and Nancy MOSS.)
James SHIPMAN and Robert MOORE.
I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE ANY PHOTOS OR STORIES ABOUT THESE FAMILIES, OR ANY
INFORMATION THAT WOULD HELP ME LOCATE SOME!
Thank you,
Kim in CO
