Wanda, I don't have info on your DILL line. However, my grandparents, Carl
and Nancy Ellen (Payne) McDonald moved from Center Twp of Greene Co. IN to
the 'Bagdad area' of Douglas Co. IL in 1886 (southern part of county, west
of Arcola on the old Springfield Road.) In what township of Greene Co. IN
were your Dill's located? Maybe our ancestors were neighbors or at least
acquainted there?
I wonder how many people in the Douglas County, IL area have ancestors who
migrated from Greene Co. IN? I know some of the PAYNE and BURCH lines did.

I do not have anything on Marris Alvah Dill's early life. Alvah married
Jane Biddle, she was b 1847. Have 4 known children, one being my husbands
grandmother. They were Rosie, Frank, Benjamin & Ella. I have a birth place
of Greene County IN for Ben & Ella. The Dill's must have moved to IL.
before
1880 for Ben & Ella werre married in Douglas Co IL. Does any of
