Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 o’clock this afternoon at the Jenkins & Sons
Funeral Home here, for Charles BRANNON. The Rev. Kenneth MCGUYER officiated at the
services, and burial was made in Grandview Cemetery.
Mr. BRANNON, a native of Greene County, passed away Monday evening at 6:00 o’clock in the
Decatur—Macon County Hospital in Decatur, Illinois, following a short illness.
He was born near Bloomfield April 16, 1895, and was the son of George and Martha (WRIGHT)
BRANNON. He was a painter while he lived in Bloomfield. He moved from here several years
ago to Decatur, where he was a member of the Moose and Eagles lodges.
Mr. BRANNON is survived by four sons, Leslie BRANNON, of Indianapolis; Charles BRANNON, of
Salt Lake City, Utah; Eugene BRANNON, of Connersville, and Jack BRANNON, also of
Indianapolis; six daughters, Mr. Ruth DRISCOLL, of Bloomfield; Mrs. Juanita BOX, of Buena
Vista, Colorado; Mrs. Martha GREEN of Worthington; Mrs. Leona ELGIN, of Pensacola,
Florida; Miss Susie BRANNON and Miss Arleta BRANNON, both of Worthington; three brothers,
Bee BRANNON, of Palestine, Illinois; Jake BRANNON, of Bloomfield, and Roscoe, of Decatur,
Illinois; 23 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
