THE BLOOMFIELD NEWS, Bloomfield, Greene County, Indiana, Thursday October 11, 1956, Volume
LXXXL, Number 52, Page 1, Column 5, “William Trimmer Dies Yesterday—Last Rites Tomorrow

Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 1:00 o’clock at the Union Valley
Church of God for William F. TRIMMER, 88-year-old Highland Township man. The Rev. Ted
MILLER will officiate, and burial will be in Grandview Cemetery. The body will lie in
state at the Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home until the hour of the services.
Mr. TRIMMER passed away at 3:15 o’clock yesterday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs.
Lucy BUCHER, in Highland Township. He had been ill only a short time.
Born January 3, 1868, in Decatur, Illinois, he was the son of Andrew and Elizabeth (RIFE)
TRIMMER. He was a retired farmer. Mr. TRIMMER’s wife, Julia, preceded him in death in
1941.
Surviving him re the daughter, Mrs. BUCHER; a son, Francis TRIMMER, of Bloomfield R. 1;
three sisters, Miss Grace TRIMMER, of Decatur; Mrs. Stella DANZIESSEN, of Dayton, Ohio,
and Mrs. Lula WESTHARFER, of San Antonio, Texas; one brother, Irving TRIMMER, of Decatur,
Illinois, and three grandchildren.
