Scotland - The Rev. Richard A. Buher, 68, Scotland, formerly of Bedford, died at 5:45
p.m.
Sunday at Richard L. Roudebush Veterans Administration Medical Center in Indianapolis
after
a short illness. Born in Bedford, he was the son of Ernest and Lillian (Ambler) Buher. He
married Ada Beatrice Nikirk on Sept. 29, 1946, and she survives. He was a retired minister
of
the Scotland Full Gospel Church, First Pentecostal Church in Bedford and the Glad Tidings
Church in Lansing, Mich. He also pastored at Lafayette and Camden, Mich. Surviving with
the
wife are two sons: Donald Joe Buher of Lansing, Mich. and John Buher of Dimondale, Mich.;
and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and four
sisters.
Service will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Day & Carter Mortuary, Bedford, with the
Revs.
Claude Cobb, Brent O'Neal and David Franklin officiating. Burial will be in Hilltop
Cemetery in
Avoca. Pallbearers will be Billie O'Neal, Delvin Nikirk, Danny Nikirk, Joe Robert,
Elery Kirkman
Jr. and Marshall Nikirk. Honorary pallbearers are Tracey Pritchard, Kent Pritchard, Troy
Kirkman, Travis Kirkman, Brent O'Neal, Stacy O'Neal and Chad Nikirk. Friends may
call from
4-9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
