Yes, I'm sure they are relatives.
Minnie Harris, daughter of John Harris and Susan Ann Spaulding married Joseph William
Turpin on 23 Oct 1892 in Martin County, IN. They moved to Linton sometime between 1920 and
1930.

This is an old obituary and the first few lines have broken away.
for the late Mrs. Minnie Turpin who died at the Freeman Greene County hospital of
complications following a fall two weeks ago.
Mrs Turpin fell in her home and broke her hip and when X-rayed attending physicians found
a bad break in the femur bone. Medical attention was given however pneumonia developed and
the end came Wednesday at three o'clock while Mr. Turpin was at her bedside.
The deceased was born in Martin County, March 28, 1874 and at the time of her passing was
72 years, seven months and 3 days old. She was a daughter of John and Elizabeth Spallian
Harris, both deceased.
She was married to Joseph W. Turpin in 1889 and the couple resided at 160 Northwest I
street in Linton.
She was a life long member of Welch Baptist church and attended services when able.
She is survived by the husband and seven children namely Mrs. Myrtle Bowers of North
Vernon, Ind., Mrs Tillie Crane of Dennison, Iowa, Mrs Francis Hayes of near Pleasantville,
Mrs Edith Brooks of Indianapolis, Logan Turpin of Carlisle route, Opal Turpin of
Worthington and Cecil Turpin of Indianapolis. A brother Phillip Harris of Bedford, Neut
Harris of Montgomery and Marion Harris of Odon and three sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Paris of
Elnora, Mrs Hannah Taylor of Bedford and Mrs. Noel Delisle of Linton also survive. There
are several surviving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Services were conducted by Rev. Powell Forbes of the Baptist church and members of the
church offered the songs.
Internment was made in the family plot in the Fairview cemetery.
