Lloyd P. HAYS, formerly of Worthington, better known to his friends in Greene County as
“Per” HAYS, died at his home in Jackson, Tennessee, at 4 o’clock Tuesday morning,
following a heart attack.
The deceased was born and reared in Worthington, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel HAYS, now
both deceased. His age was thirty-six years.
Mr. HAYS and family left Worthington several years ago and located in Tennessee, where he
was engaged as a concrete road builder on the state highways of that state.
Surviving are the widow and two children. Mrs. HAYS is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer
BENJAMIN, former resident s of Worthington, who now live in Jackson, Tennessee.
The deceased also leaves one brother, Joe I. HAYS, and two sisters, Mrs. Orville COLEMAN,
of Linton, and Mrs. Earl BUTTS, of Jackson.
The funeral services and interment occurred at Worthington this afternoon.
