Stella A. (MILLS) PRICE, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John T. MILLS, was born near Freedom,
Owen County, Indiana April 25, 1878, died at her home near Worthington Saturday April 6,
1912, after an illness of only a few hours.
She was united in marriage to Evit L. PRICE, December 4, 1897. To this union was born six
children, Nina, Annie, John, Edna, Francis and Frankie. Anna having preceded her to the
better land December 30, 1906.
She was converted and joined the Baptist Church at New Hope at the age of 19 and lead a
consistent Christian life. Her whole live was the highest example of the noblest type of
devotion to her family. Friends and church her unselfishness, kindness, and great love
for all made for her a host of friends. These and her family for whom she has labored so
cheerfully will sadly miss her. She leaves to mourn her loss a loving husband, five
children, father, mother, one brother, two sisters and a host of relatives and friends.
The remains were prepared for burial and shipped to Lyons where it was taken to the home
of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John MILLS, 225 South Slinkard Street. The funeral was
conducted by the Rev. Allen KENWORTHY of Clay City and interment at Prairie Chapel
Monday.
