THE BLOOMFIELD NEWS, Bloomfield, Greene County, Indiana, Thursday, September 26, 1940,
Volume LXIV, Number 48, Page 2, Column 4, "Robison-Jackson Township." This
community was made sad last week upon receiving word of the passing of two of Jackson
township's lifelong residents, Andrew JACKSON and son, William. Their deaths came
within a few hours. Willie, as he was better known, was never a strong, robust boy, but
was a home-loving boy, and was always busy around the home and on the farm. He loved
nature and the birds, chickens and flowers were his friends. Willie and his father wre
real pals, and spent their leisure hours sitting on the veranda listening to the many song
birds and viewing the beautiful scenery of the surrounding woodlands. Mr. JACKSON was
bereft of his companion 15 years ago, and since that time has had the companionship of his
sons, Guy and Willie, and dutiful daughter, Jessie. Father and son leave to mourn their
loss, Guy, Robert, Ralp;h, Jessie JAC!
KSON, Mrs. Mary PARSLEY and Mrs. Elsie PORTER; 17 grandchildrlen, two great-grandchildren
and a host of relatives and friends.
The bereaved children have the heartfelt sympathy of their many friends.
