Benjamin Franklin CORBIN, a resident of the Switz City community, was found by a member of
the family about 9:00 o’clock Wednesday morning in the barn on his farm, where he had
taken his life by hanging. He was 87 years old.
He was born in Jackson Township on November 14, 1874, and was the son of Frank and Lucinda
(HATFIELD) CORBIN.
Surviving are the wife, Mrs. Frances CORBIN, and two daughters, Mrs. Clara SHILKETT, of
Sandborn, and Mrs. Mary HEADLEY, of Indianapolis.
The body was brought to the Jenkins Funeral Home here, where services were held at 2:00
o’clock Friday afternoon, with Voris CARPENTER officiating. Burial was made in the Switz
City Cemetery.
