We share many of the same surnames so I always read all email from reibur!
I continue to see all these folks from little ole Marco and buried Marco
cem, but never see a mention of our ggrandfather Wm Carr who lived in Marco
til age 85 when he died in 1938. He is buried in old Elnora Cem with 1st
wife to whom he had all his children Eliza Smallwood. But surely someone
must have some connection to Wm (Billy) Carr or his father John Carr in
Greene County. Both were born in Jackson Co IN.
Thanks and keep the obits coming.
John Carr
on the Eastern Shore of Virginia
son of Bert Carr originally from Elnora Indiana

Bloomfield Democrat. "“DEATH’S HARVEST - -Frank HARDISTY died Saturday
morning, December 15, at his home at Robison, where he was born and grew to
manhood; aged fifty-seven years, eight months and ten days. He had been a
constant sufferer from diabetes for five years, and recently it developed
into diabetic gangrene, of his feet becoming entirely useless. Of his family
that survive him is his wife and three sons Quince, Emerson and James,
of Bicknell, and Mrs. Cora BRANNON, of Bloomfield, all of whom were present
at the funeral .Mr. HARDISTY has lived all of his life at the same place. He
was well known in the county; was a good neighbor, and will be greatly
missed by all.He was buried Sunday at Ashcraft Chapel Cemetery, under the
auspices of the I. O. O. F. of Mineral, where his membership had been for
about six years. The extreme cold weather kept many of his relatives and
friends from attending the funeral."

"OBITUARY.
Hardesty - -Homer HARDESTY, son of Frank and Zilla HARDESTY, was
born at Robison, Indiana, May 1, 1887; died in the hospital at Ft. Worden,
Washington, April 25, 1908, aged twenty years, eleven months and twenty-six
days. He enlisted in the United States service January 27, 1908, and served
two months and twenty-eight days in the coast artillery stationed at Frt.
Worden, Washington. He had cerebro spinal meningitis and for six weeks he
suffered untold agony, and it was not until all hopes for his recovery were
lost that his parents were informed of his serious illness. Homer has many
friends who were greatly shocked over his death. He was a good, kind,
generous-hearted boy. No one was more jolly and he always had a cheerful
word of everyone. If there was a social gathering and Homer was present
every one expected a good time. He made friends wherever he went. His body
was shipped back here for buri!
al, but owning to the disease he was in a sealed casket and his
relatives
and friends were not permitted to view the remains. This added much to
the
grief-stricken parents. There were many beautiful flowers sent as a tribute
of respect, among them was a large broken wheel, a tribute from the regiment
to which he belonged. The grief-stricken parents have the sympathy of the
community. M.E.H."
