THE BLOOMFIELD NEWS, Bloomfield, Greene County, Indiana, Thursday, April 6, 1916, Volume

After many months of intense suffering from dropsy and heart disease, Rolla Manley
WILLIAMS, died at his home on East Mechanic Street Tuesday night about 9 o’clock. He had
lived here for ten years. He came here from Mt. Carmel, Illinois, where his aged mother,
four sisters and one brother reside. He was the son of Andrew J. and Sarah A. WILLIAMS
and was born in Wabash County, Illinois, June 28, 1869.
In 1890 he was united in marriage with Miss Eliza C. ADAMS at Mt. Carmel and to this union
eight children, were born, all of whom together with their mother, survive the father.
The children are all well and favorably known in Bloomfield and they are Noble and Bryan
WILLIAMS, oldest and youngest, and Misses Oneda, Bonnie, Leta, Kathryn, Winnie and Mabel
WILLIAMS.
The deceased had a wide acquaintance and he was a man who made many friends. He was an
active member of the order of Modern Woodmen.
Those of the relatives from a distance who attended the sad rites are: Mr. and Mrs.
Elsworth ADAMS, Niles ADAMS, Charles WILLIAMS, Mrs. Jacob LEIPOLD, Emmett ARMSTRONG,
Clarence ARMSTRONG, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois; David ADAMS, of Springfield, Missouri, and
David WILSON, of Dugger.
The funeral services were conducted at the Christian Church this (Thursday) afternoon at 2
o’clock by Elder J. A. SPENCER. Internment in Grand View Cemetery.
