Bad thing is, I've looked at the one I have and it's really useless for
genealogy. It wants the names (doesn't bother asking about maiden names for
the women), age and date of birth, and ethnicity. Nothing about place of
birth, or the equivalents of the above for the parents of my wife and
myself. In 2070 when future genealogist get to look at this, they are going
to be extremely diasappointed with the results.

Subject: 2000 Census
Hi All,
As everyone in the U.S. is aware, the 2000 Census is currently being taken.
I'd thought I'd take this opportunity to remind fellow genealogists to make
a photocopy, or 2, of the census form after you fill it out and put it in
your family files. Your descendants will thank you for saving them from the
long, anxious wait for it to be released, as many of us are now doing with
the 1930 census. <g>
On another note... My "new" computer went into the shop near the end of
February for a new hard drive. I don't have it back yet, but I was able to
get my old faithful online again. Anyone who may have written to me from
about mid-February to the present may want to write again. I lost all of my
email, addresses, etc. (I did manage to save my major projects before the
crash, though. *sigh of relief*) I sincerely apologize for the
inconvenience to all my correspondents.
Diane :)
