Funeral services for Clarence Edgar VANDEVENTER were conducted Tuesday morning at 10:00
o’clock at the Pleasant Ridge Pentecostal Church, northeast of Bloomfield. Burial, in
charge of Jenkins & Sons, was made in the Tulip Cemetery.
Mr. VANDEVENTER, 74 Years old, died at 9:55 o’clock Saturday morning at his home in
Richland Township after a lingering illness.
He was a retiredfarmer and lifelong resident of Richland township. Born on June 1, 1880,
he was the son of William and Ellen (WATKINS) VANDEVENTER.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Dona VANDEVENTER; six sons, Floyd VANDEVENTER, of Solsberry
R. 1; Lebert VANDEVENTER, of Bloomfield R. 1, and Wayne, Orville, Otis and Reed
VANDEVENTER, of Bloomfield R. 4; one brother I. T. VANDEVENTER, of Chicago, Illinois, and
two sisters, Mrs. Ruth CALVERT, of Bloomington, and Mrs. Nellie PADGETT, of Odon.
