Beverly: You are saying that Bartlett is your "brick wall"? What you have so
far is correct. Bartlett was b. in Louisa Co. Va. son of Bartlett Bartholemew Goodman and
Tabitha___________. she was the second wife. They removed to Iredell Co., N.C. ca. 1790
and BB died there 1799. The family then moved to Logan Co. Ky for a few years. After
that the boys all moved to Indiana. When I say "The boys", I mean the sons of
BB's second family. These were Bartlett, George W. Micajah and William Wesley. A
sister Jane m. Edmund Nanny in Logan Co. and moved to Butler Co.
George W. moved to Coles Co. Ill. WW died in Indiana and Micajah moved to Vigo Co. while
Bartlett moved to Greene Co in 1820 from Knox Co. Micajah and Bartlett were both in the
war of 1812.
Bartlett had chiledren John b. 1805 Ky, Narcissus b. 1806 Ky,James b. 1909 in Indiana,
William Wesley (my line) b. 1911 Ind. Matilda, Melinda, George W., Nicholas hutt, Bartlett
Cassiday,Tabitha Elizabeth and Harriette. I have forgotten someone. I think there were
13 in all with the three wives. A cousin has been having a yearly family re-union in
linton for the last 5 years .
I corresponded with another woman who listed several other children of John and Jerusha
who died in infancy or early childhood. Jerusha married again after John died and moved
to Ohio. Their son(John and Jerusha's) John Jr. moved back to Greene Co. as an
adult.
