Mrs. Minnie (FEARNOT) LUCAS, fifty-six years old, former Linton resident, died at 4:30
o’clock Sunday morning at the family home in Koleen following an illness of several
weeks.
The deceased was born in Greene County and had resided in the county all her life. For a
number of years Mrs. LUCAS lived in Linton, but during the past ten years her home had
been in Koleen. While in Linton, Mr. LUCAS was a railroad section foreman.
Surviving her are the husband George A. LUCAS, who is reported in a critical condition at
the family home; six children, Johnny and Harvey LUCAS, of Chicago; Mrs. Flora JONES, of
Oolitic; Mrs. Bertha HUDSON, of Koleen, and Elmer and Anna LUCAS, at home; four sisters,
Mrs. Alice JONES, of Bee Hunter; Mrs. Martha GOAD, of White Hawk, Oklahoma; Mrs. Rosie
JOHNSON, of Solsberry, and Eliza RAMSEY, of Mineral; two brothers Ira FEARNOT, of Koleen,
and Harvey FEARNOT, of Marco; four grandchildren. Mrs. John COX, of Linton, is a
sister-in-law of the deceased.
Last rites were held at 10 o’clock Tuesday morning from Walnut Grove Church.
