Miss Elizabeth “Lizzie” MCELROY, 78 years old, lifelong resident of the Scotland
community, died at 11:00 o’clock Monday morning in her home at Scotland.
Miss MCELROY was born on November 30, 1862, the daughter of George W. and Mary A.
(STUCKER){sic?} MCELROY. She had spent her entire life in the Scotland community and was
a member of the Scotland United Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by three brothers, Sam D. MCELROY, of Braymon, Oklahoma; William J.
MCELROY, of Hooker, Oklahoma, and J. A. MCELROY, of Scotland.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 o’clock yesterday afternoon at the United Presbyterian
Church in Scotland, with Rev. O. L. HUFFMAN, of Newberry, in charge, and burial was made
in the Scotland Cemetery.
The Sappenfield Funeral Home of Newberry was in charge of the arrangements.
