The remains of Mrs. Will T. NICKERSON, who died at her home at Linton Saturday, October
17, were brought here for interment Tuesday afternoon.
Mrs. NICKERSON'S maiden name was HAYWOOD, and she was born in Taylor Township, but her
parents died when she was small and she was reared in the home of Mrs. Emma {A.
(LESTER)}WEATHERWAX, of this place.
She was married to W. T. NICKERSON, of Bloomfield, May 18, 1890. They were the parents of
six children, five of whom survive. They are: Hoyt NICKERSON, Mrs. Charles BRANSCOM and
Mrs. Thurston JOHNSON, all of Linton, and Arthur NICKERSON, and Mrs. Frank ROBERTSON, both
of Detroit, Michigan. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Samuel B. SHERTZER, of
this place, and one brother, Emanuel HAYWOOD, of West Terre Haute. In addition to eleven
grandchildren there are many friends and relatives who will be shocked to learn of the
death of Mrs. NICKERSON.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the United Brethren
church at Linton with Rev. J. W. SETTLE officiating. The remains were brought to
Bloomfield and interred in the Grand View Cemetery.
