I live on the Eastern Shore of VA (but do research in Greene co IN) There are many Linthicum families still in VA and MD Eastern Shore. I spoke with a man who KNEW some of them had gone to IN "way back when". Also found around Baltimore and Ocean City MD. Cemetery stones near Pokamoke City MD of Linthicum.
I am not connected; just a note of interest.

I have recently discovered that some of the Linthicum families who came to Monroe County, IN from North Carolina in the early 1800's expanded into Greene County.
Although lacking complete documentation, I am able to trace some of these folks back to the original immigrant Thomas Lincecomb in Maryland in 1658.
I would love to learn/share information with anyone having an interest in this family.

I am searching for any mention or record of Joseph M. Royal born in Greene County, IND 1847. I have record of the 1870 Greene County census that a Joseph Royal age 21 with his wife Lizzy (possibly Elizabeth Workman) age 19 are living at #128 and an Amanda Royal(his mother) is living at #126. James Royal, father of Joseph, at age 30 is noted in 1850 Greene Co. census with his wife Amanda (McDaniel) age 20 and son Joseph M. Royal age 2. Long ago there was a lady named Sue that helped me but I do not have her current email. ER
