Can someone do a lookup on this for me. I'd like to find out if this could possibly be the husband/father of my MORRIS line. I am thinking he could be the brother to Enoch MORRIS, from the War of 1812. There were 5 MORRIS in Green Co in 1830. The Enoch who is close to this William I beleive is the Enoch from the war of 1812.

Morris, Nancy Head W F 52 OH (or Indiana)
Levi Son W M 30 IN (I have born abt 1820 from the1870 census)
Susan Daughter W F 28 IN (I have abt 1822 from all other census found with her)
William Son W M 23 IN (Abt 1827 or 1828 possibly)
Enoch Son W M 19 IN (Abt 1828)
Squire D.Son W M 15 IN (Would have not been born than but we have him born in 1832 Greene Co.)
There may be more kids also. All the kids but Susan and Squire had parents born Indiana. For some reason Susan had Ohio and Squire had Kutucky for father Tennessee for mother or reversed in other census never had them in indiana. It could be Nancy was born in Ohio and the kids thought Indiana since all of them were from Indiana OR Susan could have gave the info in the 1850 census)
Thank You In Advance

Hi Robert, I was delighted to find this message and hope you can shed some light on a mystery I have with my Klinger line. Both of my ggggrandmothers were klingers and sisters (We think). They were Isabella David) K/clinger Loos and Margaret (Daniel) K/clinger Norman, both born and married in Coshocton Co. Ohio. We believe Isabella and Margaret's father was John Klinger who bought land in Coshocton Co. in 1809 but didn't move there from Pennsylvania until 1811/12. He is listed on the 1810,1820,1830, and 1840 census for Oxford twp. Coshocton Co. and on the 1840 census there is a John Jr. living next to him. There are no other Klingers living in Coshocton Co. at the time and Isabella and Margaret both married boys that lived within one mile of where John Sr.'s farm was. John Sr. and John Jr. are not listed on the 1850 census done in the spring, but Isabella and David Loos have a 10 yr. old boy living with them named Asa that I don't believe belongs to them. Both the Loos a!
nd the Norman families move to Greene Co. Indiana near John Klinger sometime after the 1850 census and Asa is living with John Jr. and his second or third wife Malina Maalma and David by Sept of 1850. We know that David's mother was Sabina ? and she was born in England. On the 1880 census Malina Maalma is living with David, his second wife Dora and their blended family. I know this is all speculation, but it is based on fact. I'm trying to find out who Isabella and Margaret and, hopefully John's parents were. I don't think I'm on wrong Klinger trail, but I hope you can set me straight if I am. Any info you could give me would be greatly appreciated! By the way Isabella's grandson Henry D. Conklin and Margaret's grandaughter, Margaret Lundy, married in 1890 in Switz City Greene Co.so that made tracing them easy! Thank you so much. Ginny

I have a picture of Laney Cornelius and what is believed to other Cornelius family members. If you recognize the other three people let me know.

I'm sorry to say that there are no listings in Baber's "History" for any of your requested individuals.
However... I am able to find tantalizing tidbits of data on most of your requests in other sources, for instance:
David Loos (Jr.) born 1841 to David (Sr.) and Isabell (Klinger) Loos died in Andersonville Prison, a POW from the 71st Regiment, Indiana Volunteers, April 1864. He and Henry D. Conlkin were enlisted together in the same Regiment, Henry having been wounded and discharged in November 1862.
There are more bites, why not contact me via email and I'll go into more detail.

Hi Michael, I would appreciate it ever so much if you could do a lookup on the following family names for me. LOOS or LOOSE (David and Isabella), NORMAN (Daniel and Margaret or any Norman) and KLINGER (John and Maalma or any Klinger) and CONKLIN ( Henry D. & John W. ). I don't know if you'll find anything about any of them, but they are all my great greats and I'm searching for any clues about their parents. I've hit a dead end with all but David Loos. I know his ancestory. His wife, Isabella, Margaret Norman and John Klinger are all siblings we believe, just need that last little bit of proof. I am hoping to connect Daniel Norman to George Norman of Coshocton Co. Ohio where all 4 families came from and John Klinger, a lawyer in Greene Co., to a John Klinger Sr. who came to Coshocton Co. Ohio from Penn. I know it's a long shot, but have wornout all other avenues. Thank you for offering to do this! Ginny

Sorry I can't be of much help. Neither Baber's or Goodspeed's history mentions Shelton. There is a Michael in Goodspeeds.
I checked the Civil War Soldiers & Sailors System and found no listing.
I did find a few postings for him at www.gencircles.com which basically verified the information you provided. You may want to contact these posters to see if they might have any more data they can share.
Good luck.
