Ruth, The message about the reunion picture was for Jerri. I have a lot on the Hannas and I need more on Lucy Mitchell for my DAR supplemental. I sent you three messages and none of them were returned. Please e-mail me at marian.klinger(a)verizon.net so I don't take up everyone's time on here. Thanks, Marian

Jerri, If you will give me a few days to go through my files, I may have some info for you. Do you know where in Missouri your Joseph Hanna was? In the posted obituary, Alice's father was given as Levi Hanna. My g g g mother was Elisabeth Hanna Stevenson. The eldest brother was Ambrose Hanna. He was also a Civil War Veteran and had two marriages and two sets of children. After the 1880 Census, Ambrose moved to Missouri and died there. His son Joseph, from his first marriage, lived in Gentry County, MO and then went to another county. I need to have some time to go through the files to find this family. Ambrose died in Wright County, MO. All of my records are on paper. I have not had a chance to get it all entered onto genealogy software. I will be more than happy to share info. Will look forward to anything else you may know on your Joseph to help me find this family. Will be in touch, Talk later, Ruth

I tried replying to your e-mail address but it was returned. I have a reunion picture with Ray and Beulah Hanna in attendance. This picture was sent to me by someone else. I think all of Levi's children were born in Indiana. I haven't done any research on Alice's brothers or sisters. Sorry I'm not much help.

I was wondering if your Hanna's are related to my Uncle Ray Hanna. Ray was born in Missouri but lived in Jasonville after he married my aunt Beulah Gallion. Ray's father was Joseph Hanna and mother was Nancy Windes. I do have an article from the Jasonville Leader when they attended a reunion of Hanna's back in the 40's I think. Ray and Beulah had a son Robert. Would appreciate any help with this family. Thanks.

Jerry, Just had to post a note to let you know how very much I appreciated the Census Records you posted for Alice Hanna MILLER. Alice's father Levi was the brother of my 2nd g g m Elisabeth Hanna STEVENSON. This has helped in documentation of the daughter of Levi & Almira Burcham. This is appreciated very much.
Just wanted you to know your efforts are helping and to say a special "THANK YOU" for your efforts. Ruth Flack McKnight rmcknight271(a)comcast.net

Marian, I saw your posting to the obituary of Levi Hanna, father of your Alice. I am a descendent of Levi's sister Elisabeth Hanna Stevenson. I have the Civil War records of Levi Hanna and his brothers & brother-in-law who served, with their physical descriptions in the military records. I also have the pension records for all of these brothers, including Levi's.
Levi Hanna was the son of Joseph T. Hanna & Lucy Mitchell.
Joseph T. Hanna was the son of Joseph Hanna & Elizabeth Hammers.
Joseph Hanna was the son of Robert Hanna & Mary Thomas.
Robert Hanna was our immigrant and he served in the Rev. War.
I would be very interested in sharing information with you on this Hanna family. Am more than willing to share.
Lucy Mitchell was the dau of Levi Mitchell & Seliah Davis.
Levi Mitchell was the son of Abraham Mitchell & Lucy ?.
I also have about three more generations back on Seliah Davis. She was a quaker who was disowned from the church for marrying out of faith.
Your information on Alice which you posted is most welcomed. I have not had a chance to research all of the grandchildren of Joseph T. Hanna & Lucy Mitchell like I would have liked. Please feel free to email me at rmcknight271(a)comcast.net. Thank you so much for posting your information! Ruth

Dear Debby, I wish I did have some new information on the Moulden line. My great great grandmother was Elizabeth Moulden. I do know that she married probably in late 1799 or early 1800 in what is now Cincinatti (Hamilton County) and then moved on into Indiana. They were farmers and boatmen on the Erie canal. I located and visited the farm where they had received a land patent in 1818. There was a cholera epidemic in 1840 - 42. It appears that her husband died during this period and she moves on to Illinois with some of her children. They did not live together as the males show up in other housholds as farmers and boatmen in the Peoria, Illinois area. Her 11th child was my great grandfather. He enlisted and served in the Civil War from that area of Illinois. She does not show up in the 1850 census. My great grandfather's civil war papers states she died about 7 yrs after his father died which would be 1850. I know that Shadrick Moulden signed an avadavit for Rev.!
pension papers for her father-in-law and that might have been her father. Do you have any Mouldens in the 1750 - 1850 time line? Sally Canfield

I am afraid that I don't have alot. My Grandmother believes her father's father was named Glen Cook and his wife was Molly. Her maiden name is unknown. I also know that Emery had a brother named Orley. I hope that some of this helps. Let me know if you find any more.

I would like to thank Mike for the look at the images he has placed on line.
I personally am interested in the Tulip, Richland area. I also find it very
interesting to see political meetings, orphanages, schools, churches and am
currently looking for anything on TB Sanitariums.
Thank you again for sharing.
Rose

If you ever wanted a picture of any of the schools your ancestors attended, this may be your chance. I just added a page of over 2,000 images of various schools from all over the U.S.
The page is hosted by www.family-images.com at WWW.Family-Images.Com and just click on the Miscellaneous Schools Page.
Please note that there is no real order to the listing so you will have to use the "Search and Find" Options of your browser or just plain or browse the listings to find schools of interest to you. I am looking for some volunteers to rename the images so I can better organize them but I have so many images to get online, I can't take the time to rename them all myself. I figure it is better to get the images online where people can find them.
If you have something not listed or a better or different view of a school or anything else, feel free to share it with our visitors. I have tens of thousands of images to get online but am always happy to add anything you think the visitors might like.
I have over 1,000 church images to add if I can ever get to scanning them all.
I would also like some feedback on what genealogists want images of. For instance, what images would you like to add to your family history scrapbook? I assume anything relating to your ancestors, and the towns they lived in, but would you want to have an image of the school or church they attended? Are you looking for pictures of where they were employed, where they may have spent days off with the family like amusement parks, lakes, etc.? Do you want to see images of towns or buildings after disasters, etc. to see what the people had to overcome to get on with their lives? What kind of images are important to your family history scrapbooks? Maybe I will make up a poll and post it on the site to collect your responses.
Please visit this collection and I hope you find something of interest. Feel free to spread this link around.
Mike
