Jerry,
I'm so glad you found some new information! That is exactly why I felt I needed to note down everything, not just what pertained to my own family, and put it up on a website. There was so much potential information in the newspaper for somebody, so I'm really gratified to know that it really is worth it... I'm still plugging along in 1860 (have put up another month this week.) Keep checking back...

Sarah,
What a great commitment of effort on your part! You have truly created a fantastic asset for us all.
A real surprise to me was finding info on the 1863 death of Thomas Jefferson Hardesty, my ggg-gf, near Owensburg. I knew he died young, but this was the first I became aware of how, when & where.
Thank you very much for doing this.

I took a look at the newspaper article and see that James was Oliver P. FULLER's youngest son, therefore I do not now believe this is the correct family since Oliver P. FULLER was married on 25 Oct 1849 to Elizabeth HICKS.
I took a look at the FULLERS in the 1850 Census of Greene County and found several of them, but none with a son 1-year old name James. Oliver & Elizabeth were shown without children in 1850.
If I find anything of interest I'll let you know.

I really wish I could confirm some of your information, but I just don't know enough about this side of our family>Living around my Fullers in MO were these Fullers
John Fuller age 60, born Kentucky, parents New York. occupation Teamster
Alice Fuller age 26, probably second wife born IL.
James Fuller age 7 born Arkansas
Henry A. Fuller age 4 born MO.
Frank Fuller age 30, born Indiana, parents Kentucky
Mary Fuller born age 34, born Arkansas, parents NC. and TN.
Walter Hennis sson age 14, born Kansas
William Rogers sson age 11, born Kansas
Ortha Rogers sdaughter age 8, born Kansas
What I do know is, James Fuller and his wife Mary E. Fuller were in Joplin county, and Jasper, counties MO. 1880 census
They had three children listed
Laura Fuller born 1874, Illinois
John W. Fuller born 1877, MO
Charles Fuller born 1880.
They left MO and Migrated to Oklahoma, Indian territory.
They lived in Porum township Muskogee county, Oklahoma
Then they migrated to the Keefton area Muskogee county and then on to the town of Muskogee where James Wesley Fuller died in 1844.
John Wesley Fuller born 1877 MO. married Ollie Margret Carroll about 1901, Muskogee county, they inturn had Flores Fuller born 1907, Porum , Oklahoma who inturn married Glee Webb. On the Oklahoma census
It states that John and Mary had 9 children and that 7 of them were living in PA, Kentucky and Illinois.
But on the census I just fine
Laura, Charles, John Wesley and Clara B. Fuller, she was born 1888, Indian Territory.
They say they had Pearl Fuller who married a James Russell Myers and moved to Redding , California.
Do any of these names sound familar to you? Vickie

I feel his parents were Oliver Perry FULLER and Elizabeth Narcissus Adelaide (HICKS) FULLER. Elizabeth would have been a sister to my greatgrandmother Sarah Anna Eliza (HICKS) (KEYS) DOYLE. Let me know if the following relates to your family.
Here is an item in my notes which might be of interest to you:
GOLDEN WEDDING-RESIDENCE-FAMILY: THE BLOOMFIELD NEWS, Bloomfield, Greene County, Indiana, November 1899:
Celebrated by an Old Greene County Couple in Kansas. Under date of Winfield, Kan., Oct 25 (1899), the following gives an account of a golden wedding by a Greene County couple at their home in Kansas. This was a day long to be remembered by the following named persons who sent from this community especially to attend the occasion, and meet with loved ones in the far west, Charles SHEPHERD and wife, William PLUMMER and wife, James HICKS, John HICKS and son Otto. Perhaps several readers of the News can remember Perry FULLER and wife when they were residence of this county. They moved from this county to Taylor County, Iowa in 1856, from there to Mahaska County, Iowa, and from there to Colley County, Kansas near Winfield. To them were born thirteen children, nine of whom are living in Kansas except one, Grace, next to the youngest daughter, lives in Okalahoma, Florence, the eldest child and Dora the second, live in Kingman County, Dora, (Mrs. Mitchell) has spent most of he!
r life in school work, was twice elected as county superintendent of schools. Will, the oldest son living, is a contractor and builder, and has a beautiful home in Leavenworth. John and Dell, the youngest sister, live in Leavenworth also. Oll or O. P. Jr. is city attorney and deputy prosecuting attorney, his residence in Winfield is elegant. Jim, the youngest son is a farmer and lives near his father. Minnie is the only one at home with her parents. All the children were at home the day of the anniversary, but John. Of the twenty-one grandchildren thirteen were present and four great grand children were there also. A sister of Mrs. Fuller, Mrs. Emma CORNFORTH, who lives in Decompton, Kansas, and a niece, Mrs. Mary Rhodes, who lives in Oklahoma, was there. The children and grand children presented Mr. Fuller with $25 in gold, and Mrs. FULLER with a beautiful steel range. They received several more small presents. The dinner was grand and all seemed to enjoy themselv!
es notwithstanding the almost constant rain. At 2 p. m. the house was
called to order by Mr. Charlie ROBERTS a near neighbor for thirty years. (he was their neighbor in Iowa.) Several short talks were made, subject: "Now, and Fifty Years Ago." Had a very interesting recitation by Miss ROBERTS, songs by family, and closed with prayer by Mrs. Rena PLUMMER. Mrs. Fuller's voice is as clear and sweet as ever. Both she and Mr. FULLER are enjoying excellent health.
You will find several obituaries on these families on this Greene County site.
If you need further information, let me know.
