Wright/Wright clarification:
Willis is the son of Elizabeth Wright Fine[s]. Elizabeth is the daughter of Lloyd Wright [b. 1814 VA]. Willis' wife, Lillie Wright is the daughter of Joel Thomas Wright & Celia Hardesty. Joel Thomas is the son of Elbert Wright [b. abt 1829 SC]. I am not aware of any connection between these two Wright families, even though they both lived in Jackson Twp. and their children inter-married to some extent.

Bob - I was just not sure, I know there could possible be 2 Willis Fines; but all evidence I had was that it was the one in same person.
As he is married into my Hardesty line through the Wright's and not a direct line from either the 2 of my Hardesty lines. His wife Lillie Wright was dau. of Joel T. Wright and Celia A. Hardesty, Celia being dau. of Thomas J. Hardesty & Jane Mansfield, Aquilla Hardesty & Catherine 'caty" Meek, Aquilla son of Thomas & Nancy Ann Chaney. Thomas' dau. Margaret m. Robert Edington which is my one line and Jacob T Hardesty m. Mary Susan Whitworth being son of Thomas J. is my other Hardesty line.
You have been doing an excellent job with the obituaries. You have come up with alot of obituaries that I have need for my PAf files; My mother's cousin (Charles L. Edington) had done a few on the Edington, Emery, Hardesty, Williams, Ault ones and had come across clipped ones in his mothers Minnie (Emery) Edington stuff.
Some that I do need are;
Pervlivette "Charlotte Pearly, Pearl, Pearly " (Edintgon) Melton McLaughlin (d. 19390 & her husbands Norvell Melton(d. 21 April 1908) John Mclauglin (d. 1929);
William Henry Mansfield (1946) & wife Alice (Edington) Mansfield (d. 19 Feb. 1935); Interesting note i have been told that she wrote he own obituary and all someone had to do was fill in the details of her death date, funeral times etc. She wrote many of the obituaries for the people of and in around Koleen and Bloomfield.
Thomas Leonard Edington (d. 19 Apr 1938) & his wife Martha Ann Williams (d. 29 dec 1947); I don have transcribed copies of theirs but no name of newspaper or date of publishing in fact there are two of Martha - these were from clipped obits collection of my mother, Reba D. (Emery) McKee and great aunt Minnie (Emery) Edington her husband Noah being son of Thomas and Martha. he lived at Solsberry and up till he got ill i had a great partner in genealogy research. I miss his help greatly in that it was unique we were double 2nd cousins -
Minnie being sister to my grandfather Clarence Ovid Emery nad grandfather's wife Effie was a sister to Noah Edington who married Minnie.
Mary Fidelia Williams Groves (d. 26 May 1944, dau. of James M. & Margaret (Ault) Williams) & Effie Ellen Edington Emery (26 May 1944 grand dau. of James M & Margaret (Ault) Williams). The dates are correct, I am not sure if they were out of the same funeral home but I do know that the funerals were scheduled for at or near the same time and that the graveside services at Walnut Grove were scheduled so that both families could meet there and attended the graveside services for each at seperate times and be a part of each. Effie is my grandmother.
I have gotten the Bloomfield News from 1976/77 for the obits of Greene co. till its recent demise. to say the least I do miss it even tho I am getting the evening world
I abstracted the obits from then till 1989 onto index cards maing complete family references; from late 1989 till present I have saved the obits either as clipped 7 for last 4 years just the pags they were on as a whole.
I have been trying to get copies of the Evening world from 15 Oct till the 25 of Oct. to take the place of the missing ones that would of been printed in the Bloomfield News on 21 Oct and till I began receiving my copy of the Evening World.
Sorry I have rattled on. regards Judi

Judith:
You are right, the obituary was written in 1966 rather than 1956. When I have a digital image of the original obituary I usually try to attach it to the obit in order that the viewer can view the original in case of an error such as this occurs. This one was on microfilm, however.
I think you can see by reading your reply how easy it is to mistype a date.
Previously when errors appeared that spell check did not detect, I could contact the adminstrator here in Bloomfield and have her make the change. Now that she does not administer the board, I have not had that luxury.
Sorry for the error but I am glad you pointed it out.

Hi Joan, Saw your query and I might be able to help you. Sarah may be the daughter of Daniel and Margaret Klinger/Clinger Norman. My ggrandmother was Nancy Catherine Norman b. 1842 in Oxford twp., Coshocton Co. Ohio. On the 1850 census for Coshocton Co. Daniel Norman 34 and wife Margaret -29 are listed along with Mary Ann -13, Nancy C. -7, Henry Clay -5, Sarah -4, and Charlotta - 4 m. Daniel and Margaret migrated to Greene Co. Indiana around 1857/8 along with Margarets sister and brother-in-law, David and Isabella K/Clinger Loos. I am trying to establish who Daniel Norman's parents were. My daughter and son-in-law live 35 mins. from Coshocton Co. and I have been there several times to do research. There is also a Norman cemetery there that I want to visit. I believe that 4 of Daniel and Margaret's children are buried there. Margaret K/Clinger's father was John K/Clinger who came to Coshocton Co. in 1809, but I don't know from where. The time line is correct to be your Sarah!
. Hope this helps and let me know. I look forward to hearing from you. Ginny

My son's greatgrandfather was Woodson Hamilton b. 1881 who wed Sarah Pipher. Woodson had an uncle also named Woodson who wed Sarah McCarty in 1881 and was in Greene co. And there was a greatuncle also named Woodson Hamilton. A bunch of them came up about 1853 to Greene and Martin co. In. which are right next to each other.
A military complex called Crane sits over much of the old stopping grounds and many graveyards are on their property. Jennifer Kimbley
Hi Jerry and list:
James T. bought land in Lawrence co. in 1834 and sold it in 1839. but on second thought I was thinking of the oldest girl. James married in Jan 1836 and the daughter born in 1836 listed her birth place as Greene Co. All the rest list Orange co. I really beleive that the James Smith listed in 1820 is the parent.of James T. There was another girl born in 1840 but I do not know what mo. so there was either 1 or 2 girls in the family by then. What is the listing for the James T. in Dearborn co.? no telling where they went when they sold out in 1839. I do beleive that by 1850 he had bought land in Orange co. Thank You very much Mary Lou

Re: Littleberry Vest
Yes, Littleberry Vest was a blacksmith but he wasn't a Native Ameican. Don't know where you obtained this info. He is my ancestor, showed in 1850 as White and none of my family has any indication of Indian in this line.
