Eight years ago I bought an old box at an auction here in TN , Greene Co.,
and inside was the whole life of a family. Is anyone researching the Curtis
and Edna Freeman Welton family? I have taken this box out of the closet a
couple times a year and go thru all the photos, Deeds, news clippings , old
cards , everything relating to this families life. I feel like I have known
them forever. There are things about Richland Co. , Ohio and Kentucky. Even
some letters from small nieces and nephews to "Aunt Edna".
I would like to find the people who may be looking for info about this
couple. The dates and photos go back to late 1800's and the deeds to 1858.
Please email me gal(a)naxs.net if this one of your families.

Hi,
Trying to find Thomas Barker in the 1830 and 1840 Greene County Census.
Looking for Thomas and Diana parents of Hiram Barker. Hiram was born about
1826 but I have conflicting dates on his birth so that may be wrong. I only
know Hiram was born in Indiana.
Thanks,
Lisa
Is anyone working on the Carmichael or Graves families in Greene and Monroe
Cos.?
Sarah Carmichael, d/o Archibald & Elizabeth, married Peter Graves. Peter is
said to have died in 1814. Sarah is said to have remarried to William
Martindale and died before 1850. My question is who is the Peter & Sarah
Graves listed in Indian Creek Twp., Monroe Co. on the 1850 IN Census? The
ages given fit the Peter & Sarah above. Here's the listing:
Dwelling 716, Family 716, Page 348
Peter Graves 66 Farmer 400 NC
Sarah " 66 "
If anyone could shed some light on this, I'd sure appreciate it.

My ASHCRAFTS in Jackson Twp., Greene County, Indiana, also originally came from Coshocton Co.,Ohio before 1850 and have a links to the WINDERS, MEEKS and HARDESTY lines. My Great-Great Grandfather, Robert Ashcraft's (1832-1906) first marriage, October 19, 1851, was to Margaret Jane Winders (1832-1854). She may be either the daughter or younger sister of Henderson Winders ( I would like to know which). She was in the 1850 Census in Jackson Twp., in the Household of Alpheus Winders (b-1823).
Henderson Winders was shown in the 1850 Census as living next to Elijah Ashcraft (1800-1867), the father on Robert Ashcraft, above. Elijah was married to Elizabeth Hardesty Ashcraft (1802-1859), and after her death to Margaret Alice Hardesty Edington . They were sisters and Aquilla Hardesty their brother. Another child of Elijah & Elizabeth Ashcraft, Nancy Ashcraft (b-1828) married George Washington Winders (b-1828).
I also have Nancy C. Meeks in my file via links to the ASHCRAFT, WRIGHT, and HARDESTY families; but was not aware of the relationship with Catherine and Charity Meeks.
All of my WINDERS & MEEK data is included in my STALCUP GEDCOM file linked to my web sites below. Would be interested in having additional data on the WINDERS and MEEK connections.
