the Family search Indexing project is looking for volunteers to index
their billions of records and put them online - free of charge. It is
fairly easy once you get the hang of it and a good thing to do when
there is nothing on tv. You can choose what project you want to index.
Here is the link to start indexing

They originally said it would take 100 years to accomplish this but now
the estimate is 10 years. If you ever have used their microfilm you
will understand that they have records from all over the world that they
have microfilmed and what an unbelieveable resource this will be. They
already have a lot of the U. S. census online. Any help appreciated
(I am not LDS)
If everyone would just index one batch a day it would get done much sooner. It's
easy and a good project
