Debbie,
Did you see this record. Apparently there was an obit in the Daily Leader.
I may be going to Grant County in the near future, but I think you might
be able to get a copy of this obitquicker by calling the Marion Public
Library. They have a history room which usually has a volunteer from the
combined History/Genealogical Society. There might be a small copying
fee. Hope this helps.
Walter

Hi,
I am new to this list. I am looking for a death record for my great great grandmother,
America Francis Thompson. She was living in Grant County, Indiana, where her 3rd husband,
Thomas Thompson, had lived in the soldiers home. America and Thomas were married 15 Dec
1913 in Tippecanoe Co. Indiana. Thomas died 29 Feb 1916 and is buried in Marion National
Cemetery, Marion Indiana. I found a record for a Mrs. America Thompson who died 21 April
1913. I'm pretty sure this is my great great grandmother. Based on some records I
have, I believe she was destitute. Would someone be willing to see if they could find a
death record for her, and where she is buried? I appreciate, very much, any help someone
may be able to give.
Thanks!
Yours in Christ,
Debbie
