This death notice appeared in the Fort Wayne papers this morning, but I did
not find it in the Marion paper...... thought someone might be interested....
WALTER EDWIN LEWARK, 78, died Saturday, Dec. 24, 2005, at Select
Speclalty Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Gas City, Ind., he retired from Magnavox
Corporation in 1990, with 34 years of service. He was a U.S. Army Sergeant and a
member of American Legion Poet 160, Roanoke and Mag-navox Management Group.
"He was a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather." Survived by his
wife, Doris P. of Fort Wayne; children, Lisa (Lynn) Nicholson of Roanoke, Greg
(Kim) Lewark of Albion, and Lori (Gregory) Mosher of Denver, Colo.; nine
grandchildren; one one great-grandchild; siblings, Wendell Dale Lewark of Culver,
Ind., Mildred McQueen and Paul Lewark, both of Fort Wayne. He was preceded
in death by great-granddaughter, Tara Mae Lewark; and sisters, Ruth Ellen
Stevens, Marcella Miller and Winifred Stuckey. Service is 1 p.m. Friday at D.O.
McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road. Calling is
from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial in Glenwood
Cemetery, Roanoke. Memorials to Seminary United Methodist Church, Roanoke, or
