Hi Everyone-
This is to let you know that I have upgraded my web site at –
www.estes-eastes.com
Initially, these records followed the descendants of Elisha Estes as they
moved through Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana and beyond.
But now more of Abraham’s descendants have been added. It is hoped that more
of Nicholas' and Abraham's descendants will be added in the future!
There are now 10,940 people divided into 1693 surnames.
Do not pass up the NOTES section on persons of interest. In many cases, a
wealth of information is contained in these sections.
CAUTION: Many of the following records are proven and the sources shown in
the NOTES Section for the individual. However, many of these records were
donated from other researchers who did not record their sources. Therefore, if a
record does not show documentation, it should be considered as a guide for
further investigation and not taken as fact.
All precautions have been taken to present factual information. I seriously
doubt if there has ever been, or ever will be, a collection of family history
records compiled without error. However, we should make an all out effort to
present accurate records. There are probably no other publications given such
close scrutiny as those written on Family Histories, but - that's the way it
should be! In recording our heritage there should be no margin for errors. If -
or when a flaw is found, please contact me. If corrections are needed, please
send verifications.
I have a picture copied from an old daguerreotype of Jane Eastes daughter of
Obadiah Eastes and Francis Harvey. Jane was born 6 June 1793 in Edgefield, SC
and died 24 Jan 1888 in IN. I also have a picture of her husband, William
Harvey born 14 Aug 1790 in Abbeville, SC and died 1862 in IN. We estimate these
photographs were made in the early to mid 1850s.
Jane Eastes & her spouse William Harvey
Does anyone have a picture of a descendant of Abraham who was born before
1793 ?
If so I would appreciate a copy to display as the Oldest Photo of a
Abraham's Descendant on my web site.
More upgrades will be made to this site in the future.
Best Regards
Roy Eastes
