Thanks for checking. I do have the 1880 census cds, and like you found,
there are several William DeMoss, but none in Grant County in 1880. I
don't have any info about his age or where he was born.
I believe Sabra to be the same person as Jane Hanmore, who is found living
with her grandparents, William and Lorinda Bole, in Grant County in 1880.
She was born about 1866 to their daughter Chestina/Jestina Bole, but her
father is unknown.
The mystery part is that she is listed as Sabra J. Smith in the 1870 census,
but it appears that Wesley Smith, who was married to her mother Chestina in
1868, was not actually her father. She is Jane Hanmore in 1880 census. I
did some checking, and there was one Hanmore family in Grant County in that
time period, and there were two sons in that family that were old enough to
have fathered her. Yet none of them appear to have been married to
Chestina, so I am assuming that Sabra Jane was born out of wedlock.
I am hoping that maybe someone else out there is familiar enough with this
family to clear up this mystery. I thought maybe if someone knows where
Sabra and William Demoss ended up at, I might have a chance of finding her
death certificate.
Linda

Those are the only William Demoss I found that could have gotten maried
in 1882. I didn't find her family in the 1880 Census, although they might
be hiding under quite a differnet spelling. Can you give me dates of
birth for them?

Parents names, or where they ended up at? I can't find them in 1900
census in Indiana.
