Thanks for all the information, everyone! I appreciate it. My
g-grandmother died there in the 20's and I've heard conflicting reports
of her health condition.

I sent for the Ferguson death certificate from the Indiana State Board
of Health after I saw a blurb in an old Marion newspaper about his
having died at the E.I.H. for the Insane.
I don't know how to obtain copies of the hospital's records. I wish I
did, I would love to see the Ferguson man's records, if nothing more
than to
clear up the confusion I have about his wives. I've not had any
interest
in seeing my great-grandmother's because my grandfather told my mom
everything there was to know about her situation.

What were the channels you took to obtain their death certs? And any
other documents from the hospital?

My great-grandmother died at the one in Richmond, and also one of my
Ferguson ancestors and on both of their death certificates it says
they died at the Eastern Indiana Hospital for the Insane.
