Hi Everyone!
I am still digging into our Eastes/Estes family tree and we are getting
closer to tying our 4th Great grandfather, Elisha Estes (who died in Roane Co,.
TN), to the line of Abraham Estes the immigrant. I have Abraham's line
documented and confirmed back to Nickolas Ewstas b: 1494 in Kent, England. Our missing
links between Elisha and Abraham may be found with the ongoing DNA Project. I
am attaching a 17 page The Estes DNA Surname Project News Letter sent out by
Roberta Estes in MI. On page 2, the Kit # 11727 is mine. Kit numbers are used
to identify individuals due to privacy evasion for living people. All enrolles
have each others name and addresses.
Be sure and take a look at pages 4, 5, and 6. You will be surprised at the
origin of our Estes ancestors. Of course they came from many places round the
world over the centuries but the main line came from an unusual land!
All of this takes a long time and I will probably not live to see the end of
the project as it can go on for ever. We have 18 people enrolled and the
results for 7 have been returned. The rest are still in the mill. There is no
reason for any of you to be tested as my test results will serve for all of us in
this genealogical tangle.
I am working on this full time now about 4 hours a day. (Thats my day!)
I'll try to keep you all posted on future developments.
Best Regards
Roy
