Hello,
This is my first posting here. I am researching the following man and wife:
Walter Lupton Leach born July 5, 1884 Salem, Columbiana Co, Ohio.
In the World War One Draft roll, this man listed his wife as Minnie E.
Leach, and that he was living at East South A street, Gas City, Grant Co
Indiana.
He was 34 years old then, and his occupation was Editor.
That occupation is not confirmed, it might be auditor.
In the World War Two draft list, he listed the same wife, and his address
was 219 East South A st, Gas City, IN.
This man died in October 1966 in Manatee Co , Florida.
I know who the parents are of this man, they were a couple who lived in
Salem, OH. This Leach family started in Salem, OH in 1809, and there is
still one person left there named Leach, so the ancestral home of this Leach
"clan" is Salem, OH. I already know almopst everything about the Leach
family in Salem, OH but I do not know any more about this man Walter L.
Leach of Gas City, IN.
For example: I do not know the maiden name of his wife Minnie, or when she
was born or when she died, or when they married. I do not know if Minnie
was from Ohio or Indiana, or how they met and married.
I do know that in the 1910 census, at Hillsdale, Hillsdale Co Michigan, that
Walter L. Leach age 25, and Minnie E. Leach age 25, were living together, so
I suppose they married at some point prior to the date of that census.
Living with them was a Margaret CULF age 11.
I would like to know more about this couple, and their life in Gas City, IN.
Any help is appreciated, and any comments or advice welcomed.
Best regards,
Lilly Martin
