Fletcher Hawkins Sr.
March 31, 1961 -- March 22, 2002 Fletcher Hawkins Sr., 40, 138 E. Bond Ave.,
died at 5:50 a.m. Friday in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was born in
Marion to Richard and Eleanor (Jimmerson) Hawkins. His mother survives in
Marion. Mr. Hawkins was a press operator at Majestic Co., Huntington. He was
a member of ABATE (American Bikers Aimed Toward Education) and the Sheet
Metal Workers Union. He loved to camp and fish. Survivors include wife, Deb
(Johnson); a daughter, Rachel (Barshone) Jones, Marion; a son, Fletcher Jr.,
Marion; a stepdaughter, Crystal Keller, Marion; a sister, Debby Emry, Marion;
five brothers, David, and Ronald and Donald Barrow, all of Marion, James
(Tamara), LaFontaine, and Billy (Alice), Alexandria; and two granddaughters,
Ashlyne Cordle and Bayley Calvert. He was preceded in death by his father;
and a sister, Paula L. Services are at 1:30 p.m. today in Armes-Hunt Funeral
Home, 415 S. Main St., Fairmount. Burial is in Park Cemetery, Fairmount.
Visitation was Sunday at the funeral home.
