Ted,
According to the book "Burial Records of Four Grant Co., Indiana Quaker
Cemeteries" by Ralph D. Kirkpatrick, Martha Cox's parents were William and
Miriam
(Winslow) Cox. The entry on page 127 states:
SCOTT, Martha (Cox) b IN 17 FEB 1846; dt William and Miriam (Winslow) Cox; 7 Sep
1867 m Stephen SCOTT, Jr.; mbr Oak Ridge MM; d Wabash Co. 9 Dec 1883.
COX, William b NC 22 Apr 1803; s John William and Lydia (Littler); NC m Miriam
Winslow 15 Jan 1829; mbr Back Creak MM; d 8 Jun 1867 (buried Oak Ridge)
COX, Miriam (Winslow) b. 26 Feb 1807; dtr Henry and Elizabeh (Needdom) Winslow; NC
m William COX 15 Jan 1829; mbr Back Creek MM; d 9 Nov 1855 (buried Oak Ridge)
Martha Cox was a 3rd cousin of mine. I have more info on her line at my Rootsweb

On 9/7/1867, Martha m. Stephen Scott, son of James Scott and Annis Arnett,
both of whom were b. in Wayne Co. and died and are bur. in Grant Co. (I have
much more info on this family.)
Martha and Stephen had a daughter, Evy, who died at birth on 7/10/1868.
Martha's mother was Miriam Winslow. Does anyone know who she was or who
Martha's father was?
