The Marion Public Library (Grant County) has an index of records of birth &
microfiche of the birth record books that goes back that far. There is a
link to them on the Grant County rootsweb website that Ruth & Brad Hoggatt
maintain (great site!)
http://www.marion.lib.in.us/departments/indianahistory/indianahistory.htm
They have a great staff in the Indiana Room and are quite helpful. The
phone number & hours they are open are listed on the website. I have
personally worked with them on a few projects and they have been a big help.
Good Luck,

Subject: [INGRANT] birth certificates

HI list,
On the 1930 New Jersey census, two of my uncles are listed as being born in
INdiania, I believe Grant Co. My uncle David Keenoy was born 1891, and
another John Day Keenoy after. My question is how would I go about
finding birth certificates and how hard are they to get. In N>J> it is
very difficult.
Anyone out there researching the Keenoy name?
Thanks
Barbara
