Sharon, my 5th great grandfather was the Adam Pulley in the 1850 census
on page 238A. He was born in VA.
Here is a brief of the genealogy of this family.
1.George Pulley b. England
two of his children: Adam b. 1764 VA (the Adam on page 238 a)
and Jonathan
2. Adam (1764) married Nancy Delong their known children
1a: Samuel Sr. married Elizabeth Bevard
2a. Adam Sr. married Catherine Bevard
3 a. Henson married Susannah Borton
4.a James married 3 times
5 a John
6a Rebecca married James Dillon
7a Mary
Adam 1764 married Wineford Boxell in his old age. Boxell is not her maiden
name.
3a Henson and Susannah's one son was Samuel T. (this is the grandson of
Adam in the 1850 census on page 238A) Emily would be Samuel's wife and
their two children. Henderson is actually supposed to be Henson.
There were many descendants of Adam (1764-1857) that were names Samuel,
Adam, Henson and James. This can be confusing to the researcher. Let me
know how you are connecting to the Pulley family. There are many Pulley
cousins who are doing research. We can all be a help to you.
Judy Waggoner Green
4th great-granddaughter of Samuel Pulley Sr. and Elizabeth Bevard
