I was looking for my grgrgrandfather's obit (William BELL, d 25 Jul 1920).
I didn't find it, but copied these pages anyway. I don't have column
headings for all. I have additional information on the people mentioned in
the "Little Ridge" section, if anyone is interested.

Miss Jessie Davies, of New York City, spent the week-end with Miss
Lenore Ramsey.

Rev. Jayne, pastor of the Fairmount Baptist Church, was called to
Kokomo Saturday by the death, in the Kokomo hospital, of his brother. Death
was due to injuries received when a horse kicked him across the mouth. The
funeral was held today at Tipton.

Mrs. H. E. McCartney and sons, of Martinsville, are visiting the
former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Child.

James and Alice Ramsey and Orpha Kirkwood spent the week-end on the
Bevington farm near Montpelier.

Mrs. E. B. Megenity and Miss Lenore Ramsey left this afternoon for Lake
Wawasee to attend an Epworth League Institute.

Mrs. L. Hester Purviance left Saturday for Chicago for a few days'
visit with her husband who is there in Chicago University.

Mrs. Lee Roberts, of Kokomo, is substituting at the Fairmount State
Bank for Miss Lenore Ramsey, who is spending the week at Lake Wawasee.

The Amoma Girls, of Gas City, will be the guests of the Fairmount Amoma
Girls next Firday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Coahran[sic].

Mrs. Louisa Crawford, who remains in very poor health, had as her
guests Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Charles Roberts and two sons, Claud and Charles,
Jr., and Mr. Washburn, of Lafayette, Mr. and Mrs. Winfield White and Mrs.
Retta Crisco. Afternoon callers were Mrs. John Frantz, Mrs. Henry Barbor,
Mrs. Anna Flanagan, Mrs. Mary E. Stewart, James Stewart, Mrs. William
Lennon, Mrs. Etta Miley and Joe Patterson.

Mrs. Ben Kimes had her tonsils removed at Elwood Tuesday.

Henry Bell, of Knightstown, is the guest of his brother, William, near
Fairmount. The latter remains in very poor health.

Mr. and Mrs. Miles Rush are entertaining their daughters, Mrs. Mathia
Lindsey, of Muncie, and Mrs. Lessie Matthews and the latter's children, Rush
and Lucy Max, of Barkstown, Kentucky.

J. P. Jones was the first man in this neighborhood to thresh wheat.

Willis Ratliff took the Sunday school class, of which he was the former
teacher, for a two-days outing on Wildcat Friday and Saturday. Those in the
party were Robert and Fred Jones, Harold Tetrick, Glenn Allen Stuckey, Myron
Harvey, Harold Ratliff and Harold Daugherty.

Miss Lucy Haisley spent the past week with her sister, Mrs. Roscoe
Stuckey, and family.

Mrs. Ina McCracken entertained the Sunday School class taught by Mrs.
Russell Harvey Friday afternoon in honor of her son Hadley's sixth birthday
anniversary. The mothers and the little ones present were Mrs. Russell
Harvey and two children, Mrs. Roy Daugherty and two children, Mrs. Earl
Davis and three children, Mrs. George Hasty and two sons, Mrs. J. P. Seale
and four children, Mrs. Arthur Brewer and two children. Miss Marie Peacock
and Miss Eurah Ratliff assisted Mrs. McCracken.

Lester, Ora and Frank Wright, Clyde Caldwell, Willis Ratliff and Claude
Wood went to Wabash Sunday evening to give a report of the recent young
peoples' conference held at Earlham College. They report a fine time and a
good meeting. The above young people attended the Earlham conference.

The home-coming and all-day meeting held Sunday at Little Ridge proved
to be a most pleasant affair, visitors being present from many other
churches and old-time residents returning for the occasion. Rev. Ira C.
Johnson of Lynn, was in charge of the morning service. A bountiful dinner
was served at the noon hour. In the afternoon the church was crowded. Mrs.
Daisy Barr, of Indianapolis, spoke on "What the Pentacost Means today."
Special music was rendered. Among the many visitors present a part of all
day were Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Hiatt, Mrs. Cynthia Winslow, Miss Ella Winslow,
Mr. and Mrs. Clint Winslow and Rev. Adelbert Wood of Fairmount; Miss Nellie
Rush, Charlie Ferree and Clarkson Harvey of Jonesboro; Mrs. Appleman, of
Marion; T. D. Barr, and son Raymond, of Indianapolis; Rev. Frank Edwards, of
Westland; Mr. and Mrs. Lin Wilson and Mr. and Mrs Ancil Winslow.
